A Word From Our Founder

We're hitting both sides of the spectrum with traditional and less so this month! Starting with Nakt, a crisp Silvaner that is too crushable, moving into Una Notte for an Italian take on a French wine. Then a savory Czeh red, a crushable Italian red, a NY sparkler, and a Spanish white that is ALIVE!

We hope you enjoy the range and pair it with some great food!

Kompot 2021 is a light, easy-drinking red wine made from a blend of Zweigeltrebe, Dornfelder, and Blauer Portugieser grapes. The grapes are grown in vineyards with loess subsoil, topped with varying levels of sand and humus, and planted in the 1990s with a south/southwest exposure. Half of the grapes are pressed immediately as whole bunches (blanc de noir style), while the other half undergoes fermentation in open tanks with maceration on the skins for 3-4 weeks. The final blend is unfined, unfiltered, and made without added sulfur, resulting in a fresh, vibrant red that can be enjoyed cool or at room temperature.
