A Word From Our Founder

Hi everyone,

June’s 12-Bottle Club is all about exploration. This month’s selection spans multiple countries, styles, and winemaking traditions, bringing together a collection that feels both diverse and connected by a shared sense of energy and authenticity.

From Spain, France, Italy, Chile, Austria, the Czech Republic, and the United States, this lineup showcases producers who prioritize thoughtful farming and a lighter touch in the cellar, allowing each wine to express its unique sense of place.

There’s a little bit of everything to discover this month. Bright whites, textured skin-contact wines, vibrant reds, refreshing rosé, and lively sparkling bottles all come together to create a collection designed for curiosity and versatility. Some wines are immediately approachable and perfect for everyday enjoyment, while others continue to evolve in the glass, revealing new layers over time.

This is a club month built for summer gatherings and longer evenings around the table. These wines are meant to be mixed, matched, shared, and enjoyed alongside simple meals, seasonal ingredients, and good company.

Rather than following a single theme, June celebrates the beauty of contrast. Freshness alongside texture, elegance alongside energy, and familiar grape varieties alongside exciting discoveries all have a place here.

As always, we’ve selected wines from producers who remain deeply connected to their vineyards and who allow each bottle to tell its own story without unnecessary intervention.

Thank you for being part of the club and for continuing to explore these wines with us.

Here’s to a June filled with new favorites, unexpected discoveries, and bottles that remind us how exciting wine can be.

Cheers,
Holly

In his winemaking approach, Diego prioritizes minimal intervention to preserve the vitality and essence of the vineyards. He opts for a combination of unlined concrete vats and aged oak and chestnut casks, believing these materials allow the wine to breathe, unlike stainless steel which he perceives as stifling the wine's natural character. Eschewing pumps, additives, and sulfur dioxide additions since the 2016 vintage in his recently constructed bodega, Diego critiques enological products as components of a capitalist system. Drawing parallels to his past as a musician, he sees winemaking as a form of creative expression. Diego's philosophy is encapsulated in his belief that many in natural winemaking merely mimic without truly connecting with their vineyards. Clearly, Diego stands apart

Call it driven by passion: Cyril and Fabien, the two brothers at the helm of Domaine du Mortier, aren’t originally from a winemaking family. But, when their parents bought a house with a small vineyard back in 1989, the then-teenagers fell in love with viticulture. So much so that they started a proper domain seven years later, naming it after a hamlet where the winery and vineyards are located, just west of the town of Bourgueil. - Jenny & Francois

In the late 1990s, driven by a desire to express her passion for crafting exceptional organic wines, she embarked on a quest to find the perfect terroir, eventually finding herself drawn to the Languedoc. Wonderwerk stands out also for their colorful, eye-catching labels: “We wouldn’t be anywhere without our friends Anton Goddard and Lana Shahmoradian who design all of our branding and label artwork, as well as the slew of other friends who lend their creative energy to making some of our more absurd and visual ideas come true,” Issamu acknowledges. “It’s true that you “drink with your eyes first” and so we’ve always wanted to create wines that jump out at you, grab your attention and make you go “what is this all about…?” Well, New York, thanks to this hot addition in the Jenny & Francois book, you can now wonder about Wonderwerk’s work as well! - Jenny and Francois

"The Marigny is a small winery that’s big on fun. Our vineyards are managed sustainably and organically by a crew that you can count on your fingers. Each fall myself, and maybe one other person, take a year's worth of farming and process it without any additives or additions.
We believe great wines don’t have to be saved. So go ahead, open these while you’re cooking dinner, during the game or just because you feel like it. We’re here for ya when your day needs a little extra brightness and we care a lot about people having a good time.
Cheers,
Andy Young"
