September 2022 | Orange Club
Welcome to the September Orange Club from MYSA Natural Wine!
A note from our founder:
Happy Spooky Month! There's never been a more appropriate time to drink orange wines and we have some special/fun ones for you this month! We've been waiting literally 8 months for Stay Brave to arrive and it was worth the wait! We also have Gnarly White, a pretty crazy aged orange from SA too. Where's Linus is a great look at Viognier with skin contact and Drago's Macerato is a WOW that I recommend cellaring if you have the will-power (I do not lol).

About Where's Linus

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Chris Christensen never thought winemaking was an actual career path for people who weren’t born into a winery or vineyard until he went on a wine-tasting trip to Sonoma during his Junior year at Stanford. Although originally fueled – as Chris himself admits – by the idea that knowing a thing or two about wine might impress girls, Chris’ curiosity about wine quickly turned into a real passion.
Gnarly White - Three Foxes
Primorska - Slovenia
Description:

Blend of Clairette Blanche and Semillon from 70+ year old vineyards. The Clairette spend 6 months on skins before being pressed. The Semillon is pressed off immediately after harvesting. The result is a low alcohol, high acid wine with great depth and concentration from the extended skin contact. A wonderful, playful balance between acid, fruit, and tannin.
Pairings: Seafood, White Meat, Tapas
Serving Temperature: 45°- 49°
About Three Foxes

Grapes are sourced from some of the most exciting vineyards of this region and the focus lies with Syrah and mediterranean grape varieties. All natural ferments, no new wood, no enzymes, no filtration not fining - these wines are a pure expression of their vineyard sites.
