A Word From Our Founder

Hi friends,

January is a moment to reset and settle in. After the rush of the holidays, this month invites a slower pace, simpler meals, and wines that feel refreshing yet grounding. It is a time to reconnect with everyday rituals and enjoy the quiet pleasure of a well chosen bottle.

This month’s six bottle selection strikes a thoughtful balance. Bright, expressive whites sit alongside soulful, energetic reds, with a touch of texture to keep things interesting. These are wines that feel natural and unfussy, offering depth without heaviness and character without complication.

Each bottle is meant to fit easily into real life. Pour one while cooking, open another over a relaxed dinner, or save a favorite for a calm evening when you want something that feels both comforting and alive. This selection is versatile, food friendly, and made for winter days that still hint at what is ahead.

As we begin a new year, we are grateful to share it with you. Thank you for supporting independent producers and for trusting us to curate wines that feel intentional, balanced, and true to the season.

Here’s to a grounded, refreshing January and many good moments ahead.

Cheers,
Holly

De Mena, meaning "By Nature" in Catalan, is a passion project of Sébastien Agelet, located in the small, time-forgotten village of Paziols, nestled in the Pyrenees Mountains. Once part of the Principality of Catalonia, Paziols still holds a medieval charm. Sébastien, a visionary vigneron, transitioned his family’s old vines to organic farming, pulling them away from the co-op to create wines that reflect nature’s purity and authenticity. De Mena’s wines are naturally crafted with minimal intervention, showcasing the terroir and embracing a philosophy rooted in passion. Sébastien’s wines are known for being thought-provoking, purposeful, and utterly delicious, with an emphasis on organic, traditional winemaking methods.
