A Word From Our Founder

This month's club is a celebration of discovery, bringing together an exciting mix of wines from both familiar regions and emerging wine destinations. From France and Austria to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Chile, and Argentina, the selection highlights producers who craft expressive wines with a thoughtful, low-intervention approach.

You'll explore everything from vibrant sparkling wine and refreshing rosé to textured orange wine, crisp whites, and a diverse lineup of reds. Whether it's the bright fruit of Slovenian Pinot Noir, the savory depth of Rhône-inspired blends, the freshness of Croatian indigenous varieties, or the richness of Argentine Malbec, every bottle offers a unique expression of its place and the people behind it.

These wines were chosen with versatility in mind. They're equally at home alongside weeknight dinners, summer barbecues, long lunches with friends, or special occasions that call for something memorable. We encourage you to experiment with pairings, serving temperatures, and even revisiting a bottle on the second day to see how it evolves.

As always, our focus remains on producers who farm responsibly and allow their vineyards to speak through every vintage. Each bottle reflects authenticity, character, and a genuine sense of place.

Thank you for being part of the MYSA community and for continuing to explore these incredible wines with us.

Here's to another month of new discoveries, great conversations, and memorable pours.

Cheers,

Holly

Olivier Cohen, a dynamic winemaker hailing from the Hérault region in the Languedoc near Montpellier, is the visionary behind Les Vignes d’Olivier. His repertoire boasts an exquisite rosé and an array of captivating red wines.

Initially immersed in the wine-selling scene, Olivier's journey took a pivotal turn while working at renowned natural wine bars like La Part des Anges in Nice and Vinivore nearby. It was here that his ardor for natural winemaking ignited, propelling him towards his own viticultural pursuit.

Seeking mentorship and hands-on experience, Olivier ventured to Corsica to collaborate with the esteemed Antoine Arena.

Club Pick 5

A minimal intervention blend that highlights Lower Styria's historic connection to Blaufränkisch, complemented by a touch of cool climate Syrah. The varieties are harvested and vinified separately, with spontaneous fermentation, 19 to 24 days of maceration, and 14 to 18 months of aging in used French oak before blending and bottling unfiltered. The result is a balanced red that combines vibrant fruit, spice, and freshness with the character of Lipoglav's steep hillside vineyards.

Region: Primorje, Slovenia

In the mid-12th century French Carthusian monks settled in this northeast region of Slovenia and planted it with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. The Podkubovšek family, starting with Vlado and his son, Marko, has always cherished and been proud of this local heritage, hence the fact that all of their wines are made in a traditional style, where the vines and the microclimate speak for themselves. All of the grapes are strictly hand-picked on steep marl-rich slopes of up to 45°, and vinified with minimal intervention in the winemaking process. - Sanctum

Middle of the Road

Region: Cuircó Valley, Chile

Originally established to produce bulk wines, in 1990, the winery shifted its focus to crafting quality wines for export. Echeverria quickly became one of the few boutique wineries in Chile and the first family winery from the country to sell wine to Harrods in London.

Over time, the family began purchasing grapes to enhance the complexity of their wines. "We realized that to succeed and stand out, we needed to be open," says Roberto Echeverria, the Technical Director and Chief Winemaker, whose first solo vintage appeared on the market in 2001. With sustainable practices in the vineyard, Echevarria produces wines to suit every palate while maintaining a philosophy rooted in consistency.
