Hollow Wines

Quinn is dedicated to his minimal intervention winemaking approach, expressing the grapes' true terroir while remaining 100% vegan and sustainable.

"Wine is messy. It requires dedication, passion, and grit. Not many people have the fortitude to create wines by hand but at Hollow Wines, I hand sort my grapes, hand shovel, and only intervene when I have too. Natural winemaking is about remaining true to the earth. Wine has been made for thousands of years with just grapes and wild yeast, so why introduce unnatural byproducts into wine when you don't have too? I believe in clean and sustainable winemaking practices. Using minimal additives and always remaining true to terroir and the earth. I only source sustainable, organic, and dry farmed grapes in order to insure minimal impact while producing my wines." - Quinn Hobbs

About the Winemaker

Hollow Wines

Quinn Hobbs, the visionary behind Hollow Wines, is spearheading a new wave of natural winemaking in California. Born and raised in Portola Valley, he now resides in LA with his wife Alison and daughter Mina, channeling his passion for sustainable practices into every bottle. Crafting his wines in Gilroy, Hobbs meticulously sources organic fruit from vineyards across the state, firmly rejecting the use of Roundup due to its detrimental impact on the environment. With a Midas touch for winemaking and a commitment to reducing carbon footprints, he is pursuing a PhD in global leadership and change to revolutionize the industry. Embracing a philosophy of minimal intervention, Hobbs champions "No B.S." winemaking, employing wild yeast and minimal additives, including just a touch of sulfur.
