Club Pick 1

A skin-contact Chenin Blanc from one of South Africa’s most exciting winemakers, Reenen Borman. Kottabos is a small side project focused on experimental, site-driven wines, and this release comes entirely from the Karibib Vineyard in the Polkadraai Hills. Whole-bunch fermented with 4–5 days of skin contact, then aged in old French puncheon for 11 months. The result is a textured, clean, and lifted Chenin with subtle grip and energy to spare.

Club Pick 2

Orange Cubique François is a vibrant and structured skin-contact wine crafted by François Bléger at his family estate in Saint Hippolyte, Alsace. The Gewurztraminer grapes are hand-harvested from organically farmed granite vineyards, and undergo a 12-day whole-bunch maceration using natural carbonic maceration. After gentle pressing, the wine is aged for 9 months in a combination of foudre and stainless steel tanks. The result is a beautifully balanced orange wine with aromatic floral notes, citrus peel, and a touch of spice, all supported by structured tannins, making it both intriguing and easy to drink.
Fun Fact: Gewurztraminer, known for its aromatic intensity, takes on a whole new dimension when vinified as an orange wine. The extended skin contact during maceration enhances its natural spiciness and adds a unique tannic structure, making it a perfect match for flavorful and spicy dishes.

Club Pick 3

Naranjito is a skin-contact Verdelho from McLaren Vale, Australia — vibrant, citrus-driven, and full of texture. Picked late for phenolic ripeness and fermented on skins for 180 days, this is a bold, expressive orange wine with real depth. Unfined, unfiltered, and made from biodynamically farmed fruit, it’s both serious and seriously drinkable.
