Happy Holidays from all of us at MYSA! We hope you enjoy our card and added corkscrew for some extra cheer this time of year. There are some special bottles this month with a Brutal!!! and a Yetti that is unheard of to get enough to put in a club! After those we kept some more classic style with bubbles for the new year, as that's what I really love to drink this time of year. I hope you love this curation!

Club Pick 1

Michi’s Farm Orange by Michael Gindl is a vibrant natural wine with a beautiful amber color from three weeks of skin maceration. Fermented in stainless steel and used barrels, it’s aged on lees for added depth and complexity. With no added sulfur, it offers a pure expression of its grapes. Fresh, bright acidity, smooth tannins, and a rewarding finish make it a truly enjoyable wine.

Upon completing agricultural school in 2002, Michael Gindl, born in 1983, harbored a steadfast determination to oversee the farm that has been in his family since 1807. Traditionally, the farm practiced mixed agriculture encompassing crops, livestock, forestry, and viticulture. Following his grandfather's untimely passing, Michael's mother assumed farm management duties while his father pursued a career as a food inspector. During his schooling, Michael took on the responsibility of vinification.

Concurrently, Michael embarked on a journey toward embracing biodynamic methods, leading to the farm's eventual certification as biodynamic. Since 2012, Highland cattle have been bred on the property, while horses are employed in the vineyards and wheat fields.

Club Pick 2

This natural wine is the epitome of zero-intervention craftsmanship. After 7 days of skin contact and 14 months aging on lees in concrete tanks, it’s completely unfiltered, unfined, and without added SO2. Smoky, nutty, and spiced with a cider-like tang, it’s bold, experimental, and vibrant—a true icon of the new wave of natural wines. For those ready to embrace the raw, untamed flavors of wine, this is your bottle.

Chenin Blanc

Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, childhood friends from Abruzzo who lost touch after university, reunited with a shared passion for wine. Together, they embarked on a winemaking journey fueled by a deep appreciation for natural methods and bold experimentation. Unlike many, they eschewed formal wine education, agronomists, and oenologists, opting instead to learn through hands-on experience in vineyards and cellars. Their inaugural fermentation in 2010 was plagued by mishaps, prompting them to seek the intervention of an expert grandmother, known for her skill in dispelling the evil eye, to perform a ritual over their grapes. Miraculously, it proved successful, giving rise to Lammidia ("evil eye" in Abruzzese dialect), their venture into winemaking. - From Cream Wine
