Welcome to the January Orange Club from MYSA Natural Wine!

A note from our founder:

Happy New Year from all (3) of us at MYSA! Whether you just joined or have been with us for ages, we're so excited to be starting this year off with you and what a gorgeous group of wines it is to start! As we mentioned on the card, we've been working closely with Isabelle Legeron from RAW WINE lately and were introduced to her friend and importer Didier from Nomadic, where you'll see most of your wines came from this month.

All of the wines are exciting this month, but I want to put a special highlight on the Constantina and Freitag, as those were both highly allocated and I was able to sneak just enough to get it in this club! Constantina is a bit of a legend in natural winemaking, so if you haven't heard of her definitely check out her story below!

Enjoy!

About Petracavallo

"Enthusiasm and experience. It all started as a joke, almost a bet between Vito and his father.

Vito is a young winemaker in love with the vineyard, the land and the desire to produce a wine as artisanal as possible, like the one his grandfather had him taste as a child. Then there’s his father, Peppino, a winemaker with years of experience behind him.

To them producing a natural and handcrafted wine means this: to produce a wine that is the expression of the terroir in which it develops, treating the earth and the vineyard with the utmost respect, following the grape in the various stages of its transformation from a raw material to a drink bottled and ready to be consumed, with its own story to savor and enjoy.

Petracavallo’s wines are made from grapes grown in vineyards with ancient methods, not treated with pesticides, hand harvested, using spontaneous fermentation, no filtering, no fining, and no enzymes with only a small amount of sulfur added at bottling. - Minum Selections"

About Constantina Sotelo

"Constantina Sotelo is a small winegrower from the Rias Baixas who makes unique albariños in a family micro winery that is located in a village in the Salnés Valley, specifically in Castrelo (Cambados), a place known as the birthplace of Albariño.

We started this project in 1999 driven by the support of the whole family and headed by Constantina Sotelo, a project that has not been exempt from setbacks, concerns ... but with the conviction of creating something unique and unconventional, where we return the prominence that our vineyards deserve, reflecting in each glass respect for our terroir, where honesty and minimal intervention reign.- Constantina Sotelo"
