About Gross
"The Gross family has been growing wine since 1907. Today, Martina and Johannes Gross pursue their craft in the charming hillscape of Südsteiermark and adjacent Štajerska Slovenija. Their reputed sites (or Rieden), such as Nussberg, Perz or Sulz, are characterised by extreme slopes. The vineyards are cultivated in a sustainable and quality-assuring approach, the use of machinery being hardly possible. In this area, the cool winds from the Alps meet with the warm air masses of the Adriatic Sea. The grapes become fully ripe in this Alpine-Mediterranean climate, and due to diurnal temperature variations of up to 20°C, they possess both freshness and aroma. The soils are highly diverse: depending on the vineyard site, sand and gravel, shell limestone, marl, or soils of Volcanic origin mark the unmistakeable character of the wines.
Our region-specific portfolio includes white varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, Sauvignon Blanc, or the Slovenian Furmint. Vinification is entirely focused on the origin of the wines, which is characterised by both the climate and soil. - Gross"

About Pivnica Brhlovce
“The Brewhouse Brewery is a small cellar located in the rocky dwellings in the village of Brhlovce. It is a place where time is still flowing through the old – analogy. We try to make wine as classically as possible, as I remember from childhood. Wine and vine were an everyday part of our family life, but we also had sheep, goats, and bulls. The cooperative vineyards, in which I went to brigade in the summer, still form a natural landscape around Brhloviec. Maybe that’s why I did not see wine as something special in my youth, but rather fascinated by ” big world ” and pictures, whether static or moving. So I studied photography at VŠVU in Bratislava, as opposed to winemaking. But when I traveled the “big world ” and captured many pictures, I realized the unique location of Brhloviec and the strong energy of rocky dwellings. In 2011 I founded the wine cellar BRHLOVCE, and since then we have bottled all the wine under our own brand. Today all grapes come from Brhloviec and the surrounding areas.” -Zev Rovine

About Vina Krapež
"Vina Krapež wine estate is located in the beautiful village of Vrhpolje in the Vipava Valley, at the foothills of Nanos and Kovk. In the past, sea deposited rich layers of flysch and marl which make good grounds for vines.
The sub-Mediterranean climate of the Vipava Valley is strongly affected by constant alternation of warm, wet southwest wind called mornik and cold northeast wind called burja – bora. The valley usually has mild winters, warm summers and approximately 1500 mm of annual precipitation with climaxes in late spring and autumn. Mixing of continental and Mediterranean climate characteristics has influence on the character of Vipava wines.
In 1928 Grandpa Jožef Krapež buys The “Pr’potokovo” farm (meaning: Near the stream farm) in Vrhpolje and moves from Gora (nearby hill) to the valley, starting the beginning of the viticulture and winemaking family. Hard work, hardy hands, sweaty face, day after day, for the family to survive, for the farm to develop and advance. His son Jožef was developing and building the name of the Krapež farm since his young age. His first and last thought was always the cellar, in the morning opening and in the evening closing its door.
In 1971 Jožef Jr. decides to sign a document not to give the grapes to the Vipava Wine Cooperative anymore. Since then, Krapež has been an independent viticulturer and winegrower.
In 1987, Jožef’s son Martin assumed the responsibility of the cellar and wine."
