A Word From Our Founder

Hey friend,
Your August box is here — three bottles, each with its own personality, all worth pouring for someone who’ll appreciate them (even if that’s just you).

This month, we went for wines with character — the kind that catch you off guard in the best way.
✨ An orange that’s got grip, warmth, and a little mystery
✨ A red that’s smooth and soulful but still has a spark
✨ A white that’s crisp, clean, and totally crushable

All from people who farm like they care (because they do) and make wine that doesn’t hide behind polish. These are bottles that feel alive — that invite you in for a second sip before you’ve finished the first.

Crack one tonight. Share a story. Or just keep the moment to yourself. Either way, you’ll get it.

Cheers,
– Holly

"Owned by the Suriol family, Cellers de Can Suriol del Castell is known for making wines and vintage Cava with personality in the organic winemaking tradition. They make wines under the Suriol brand which are all estate bottled fruit and then they make the Azimut line from purchased grapes from their neighbors, all of whom work organically. The Can Suriol vineyards and winery are situated in Alt Penedes, Province of Barcelona, Catalunya. This region is justifiably famous for producing fine wines and cava. The cultivation of the Can Suriol vineyards is done by 100% organic methods as certified by the CCPAE (until 2007 NOP certification).

Clotaire Michal has wine in his veins. From his early days swirling glasses as a sommelier in top spots across France and the UK, to a five-year deep-dive under legendary winemakers like Christophe Peyrus and the iconic Thierry Allemand in the Rhône, Clotaire didn’t just learn winemaking — he lived it. In 2013, he and his wife Yuka (who officially joined the Domaine in 2018) took a leap of faith and built something rare: a soulful, old-vine haven in Saint-Étienne-la-Varenne, where pink granite and 100-year-old Gamay vines tell a story you can taste in every glass. No chemicals, no shortcuts, no trendy “glouglou” vibes here.

Club Pick 3

A crisp yet complex food-friendly white from the Loire Valley, France. Steep slopes and cool fermentation contribute to the wines freshness, while eight months of lees aging create texture and a subtle depth, complimenting an overall light body. Unfined, unfiltered, salty, and citrus-driven

Oysters with lemon, shrimp ceviche, or grilled halloumi with tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs

Lemon, grapefruit, salt, and a subtle, creamy texture from lees aging. Lighter in body, high in acidity, moderate in alcohol, and perfectly interesting
