A Word From Our Founder

Hi friends,

This month’s 12 Club brings together a little bit of everything, with a lineup that moves across regions, grapes, and styles. From fresh whites and rosé to juicy reds and more textured bottles, there’s plenty of variety to explore throughout the collection.

You’ll find familiar grapes like Malbec, Chianti, and Verdicchio alongside more unexpected bottles, including Gro-low 8.5%, Eros de Vincent, and Clé à Molette VDF White. Together, these wines showcase the range of independent producers we love to share, with each bottle bringing something different to the table.

Whether you’re opening a bottle for dinner, sharing with friends, or simply deciding what to pour next, we hope this month’s collection gives you plenty of opportunities to explore, discover, and enjoy.

As always, thank you for supporting independent producers and being part of the MYSA community.

Cheers,

Holly

La Bodega de Pinoso makes the Fermina wines for us. They started producing wines from organic grapes in 1997, being one of the pioneer wineries in the region to do so. Today, more than 800 hectares of vineyards are certified by the Valencia Region Organic Agricultural Committee, which is 35% of the surface area, producing more than 1,500,000-liters of wine. The Bodega de Pinoso is the most important producer of wines from organic farming in the Valencia Region, and are considered one of the biggest producers on a national scale. To obtain organic wines La Bodega de Pinoso combines an exhaustive control of the vineyards with careful processes in winemaking. Treatments carried out at the vineyard are minimum, making for grapes of excellent quality.

"Domaine de La Patience counts among the very first wineries Jenny started to work with back in 2000 – and it has been an eventful path full of growth on both sides! Christophe had arrived at the helm of the family domain shortly before that in 1998, when he took over the vineyard from his father and gradually started to change things in multiple directions. The most important was the decision to go organic in 2007: “I realized I needed to stop poisoning myself with the chemical treatments we were using, as I felt worse and worse when working in the vineyards,” he recalls the concerns that led him to this decision, together with Jenny’s support of the move."- Jenny & Francois

Club Pick 4

A vibrant red blend that combines Merlot, Zinfandel, and Grenache into an easygoing, fruit-driven wine. Tony Coturri is a third-generation California winemaker and a longtime advocate of natural winemaking. Based in Sonoma Valley, he farms and works exclusively with grapes grown without pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. The Coturri family winery was founded in 1979 by Tony, his father Red, and his brother Phil, carrying forward Italian winemaking traditions brought to California by Tony’s grandfather, Enrico. Today, Tony runs the winery while passing the craft on to his son, Nic. The winery is certified organic by CCOF.

Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, childhood friends from Abruzzo who lost touch after university, reunited with a shared passion for wine. Together, they embarked on a winemaking journey fueled by a deep appreciation for natural methods and bold experimentation. Unlike many, they eschewed formal wine education, agronomists, and oenologists, opting instead to learn through hands-on experience in vineyards and cellars. Their inaugural fermentation in 2010 was plagued by mishaps, prompting them to seek the intervention of an expert grandmother, known for her skill in dispelling the evil eye, to perform a ritual over their grapes. Miraculously, it proved successful, giving rise to Lammidia ("evil eye" in Abruzzese dialect), their venture into winemaking. - From Cream Wine

Sartarelli was founded in 1972 by Ferruccio Sartarelli, who devoted the winery to producing high-quality Verdicchio. Today, the family remains focused exclusively on Verdicchio, with the third generation continuing Ferruccio’s original philosophy.

The winery practices conscious viticulture, including hand-harvesting and non-invasive vineyard management, while maintaining traditional winemaking techniques. Sartarelli also works with selected Verdicchio clones from older vineyards to bring out greater aromatic complexity while preserving the grape’s characteristic expression.

Club Pick 8

Light-bodied and charmingly drinkable. A mix of white flowers, green apple, and subtle citrus flavors. It’s refreshing yet quite funky. Some say it's the closest wine to apple juice with how lovely it is!

Alice Bouvot proudly owns 5 hectares of vineyards in the Arbois region of the Jura. Beginning her domaine in 2005 with just 2 hectares, Alice gradually acquired small plots over the years, expanding her production. Some of our most cherished winery visits are with Alice and her delightful sons. Beyond her warmth, the vineyards themselves exude vibrancy. L’Octavin is now Demeter biodynamic certified, and Alice wholeheartedly conveys this ethos. Embracing a holistic approach, wild grasses, weeds, insects, and animals coexist harmoniously within their vines, creating a rich ecosystem that imparts deeper meaning to each glass of her wine.

Club Pick 9

A fresh, low alcohol expression from carefully farmed vineyards in the eastern Loire Valley. Made with a light touch in the cellar to preserve lift and drinkability, this wine focuses on brightness, gentle fruit, and easy texture rather than weight or power. Crisp and lively, it is designed for casual drinking with plenty of energy and refreshment.

Vignobles Berthier is run by brothers Clément Berthier and Florian Berthier, fifth generation growers working in the heart of the central Loire. Their vineyards span Sancerre and Coteaux du Giennois, with additional fruit sourced from trusted friends in nearby appellations.

While Sauvignon Blanc makes up most of their plantings, the Berthier philosophy is not about varietal expression but about place. They focus on late harvesting and long lees aging to let soil and site take the lead over grape character. The vineyards have been farmed organically since 2013, with certification achieved in 2022, reduced tillage, and a strong emphasis on soil health.
