Gonzo Militia is the flagship “anything goes” blend from Vandal, crafted by a secret collective of winemakers in Marlborough. This wild orange wine brings together an eclectic mix of white and red grapes, co-fermented with extended skin contact to create a bold, hazy, and rebellious expression that doesn’t play by the rules.

Cloudy amber-orange with funky citrus peel, apricot skin, and wildflower aromatics. Textured palate of marmalade, tropical fruit, and light red berry with grippy tannins and zippy acidity.

The Producer

About Vandal

Vandal Wines was born out of a laid-back afternoon in Marlborough, when three winemakers—armed with beer and bright ideas—decided to throw convention out the window. What started as a cheeky “side project” quickly evolved into a creative playground where rules don’t really apply. Each member brings their own winemaking chops to the table, but under the Vandal label, they’re free to experiment, blend, and craft wines that defy the usual Marlborough mold. Think of it as a rebellion in a bottle—playful, a little wild, but always seriously good. Their mission? To make wines that are as fun to drink as they are to create—“smashable,” as they like to put it.

About the Region

Tasmania, Australia

Tasmania’s specialties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, forming the foundation of its world-class still and sparkling wines. Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris also thrive here, showcasing purity, freshness, and mineral precision. Producing less than 1% of Australia’s total wine volume yet commanding a premium share of value, Tasmania has become synonymous with craftsmanship, sustainability, and cool-climate excellence—making it a jewel in Australia’s winemaking landscape.
