The Producer

About Tanganelli

Nestled on the outskirts of Castiglion Fiorentino in eastern Tuscany lies Marco Tanganelli's tiny farm. Known as a top agriculturalist, Marco's family has a long history in the region, with his father Carlo establishing an agricultural nursery over 40 years ago to preserve local grape, olive, and orchard varieties. While the Tanganelli family always made wine for themselves and locals, they only began bottling and selling their wine in the late 90s. Today, Marco tends to around 5 hectares of very old trebbiano, malvasia, and sangiovese vines, with new plantings made in recent years on high altitude terraces above the village. Marco's wines reflect the old-school Tuscan peasant style, crafted with care and skill. Natural fermentations, extended aging.
