Milan Nestarec, the Moravian maestro, mastering thirst with one hand, farming indigenous varietals biodynamically with the other. The man loves introducing new cuvées and this vintage he's blessed us with a mini-magnum of the "Růž," a fresh-to-death rosé field blend of Zweigelt, Saint Laurent, and Cab Sauv. It's certainly not a coincidence that he uses a squat, crown-capped bottle reminiscent of Red Stripe here. The "Růž" is appropriate in nearly all the same settings you might find the Jamaican lager, only imagine if Red Stripe teamed up with Cantillon and added metric tons of cherries and raspberries into the still-fermenting wort. Capri Sun for the big kids table.

Fresh and pungent, slightly fragrant of cut grass and herbs, not at all sherry-like. It is stony and severe, more like Chablis from another, cooler era.
