About Les Tetes

Les Tètes is a collaborative wine venture orchestrated by four friends: Nicolas, Philippe, Baptiste, and Vivien. Nestled in the village of Le Pressoir within Touraine Azay-le-Rideau in the Loire Valley, Les Tètes endeavors to offer vibrant and affordable wines cultivated organically, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and with minimal sulfur intervention. In their own words, "Les Tétes is about friendship, and wines you drink with friends."

The wines of Les Tètes are crafted at Le Pressoir, situated in the village of Panzoult. Their vineyards adorn the landscape near the birthplace of Honoré de Balzac and Alexander Calder's workshop, enveloping the unspoiled surroundings of Château de Rigny-Ussé.

About the Region

Rhône, France

The Rhône Valley, located in southeastern France, is renowned for its natural winemaking practices and exceptional wines. Split into two distinct regions, the Northern and Southern Rhône, the area benefits from a variety of terroirs and microclimates. Natural winemakers in the Rhône Valley prioritize organic and biodynamic farming methods, eschewing chemical additives and pesticides in favor of sustainable viticulture. They cultivate classic grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Viognier with minimal intervention to produce wines that reflect the region's unique terroir and the purity of the fruit. In the Northern Rhône, wines are known for their elegance and complexity, with Syrah offering spicy aromatics and dark fruit flavors. In the Southern Rhône, wines are more robust and fruit-forward, with Grenache providing ripe red fruit flavors and a hint of spice. As the demand for authentic and terroir-driven wines continues to grow, the Rhône Valley remains a cornerstone of the natural wine movement, offering a taste of France's winemaking heritage and commitment to sustainability with every bottle.
