Kristinus CuvĂ©e 2022 is a biodynamically farmed white and orange blend of 80% Welschriesling, 10% GewĂŒrztraminer, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, grown on the loamy, sandy soils near Lake Balaton. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in clayver, amphora, and tank, showcasing the purity of the grapes with no fining or filtration. Aged for 10 months in large amphorae and tanks, this wine delivers a natural, balanced expression with minimal added sulfur.

 

Aromas of green pineapple, grapefruit, and honey, with citrus, tropical fruit, and a mineral finish.

About Kristinus Borbirtok

Florian Zaruba and his partner Janka helm the multifaceted operations of the Kristinus property on the southwestern shores of Lake Balaton, Hungary. In addition to the winery, the estate encompasses a farm, fine dining restaurant, hotel, and cinema. This burgeoning winemaking region, situated on the largest lake in central Europe, saw the establishment of the estate in 2005. With a current size of 55 hectares, the estate's expansion offers the opportunity to provide wines of exceptional value. Since 2018, Kristinus has embraced biodynamic farming practices under its winemaking stewardship.
