A négociant release from Jean-Yves Péron’s I Vicini project, made with Barbera sourced from organically farmed vineyards in Piedmont and vinified in Savoie. The fruit is hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, including a portion of whole cluster, followed by aging in neutral vessels. Bottled without fining or filtration and with minimal added sulfur, the wine shows a lifted, energetic profile with freshness, depth, and a slightly rustic edge shaped by its low-intervention approach.

Tart cherry, black plum, raspberry, dried herbs, peppery spice, lively acidity, firm but fine tannin

About Jean-Yves Peron

Jean-Yves Péron is one of the leading voices of natural wine in the French Alps. Based in the village of Cévin in Savoie, he works tiny, steep mountain parcels surrounded by forest and dramatic alpine slopes.

After time working in Burgundy and with natural wine pioneer Thierry Allemand in Cornas, Jean-Yves returned to Savoie to revive old vineyards and forgotten varieties. Farming is organic and meticulous, often on near impossible inclines. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous, sulfur use is minimal or none, and wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
