Da steppt der Bär Pet Nat 2019

Helmut Dolde

$32.95
+

Mineral white wine with beautiful finesse and refined tiny bubbles. The label may make the wine seem like simple glou glou but it is one of those beautiful finds that is complex and incredibly quaffable!

Pairing Suggestions: Hard Cheeses, Summer Salad, Seafood

Tasting Notes: Honeyed notes with crisp golden apples, and a bit of creaminess on the finish.

Swabia, Germany

Type: Sparkling, White | Vintage: 2019 | Sulfites: No Added | Alcohol: 12% | Varietal: Sylvaner, Weissburgunder | Production: Sustainable, Vegan | Importer: Super Glou

In the shadow of a fairytale castle, at elevations up to 530 meters above sea level, Helmut and Hedwig Dolde grow Silvaner, Pinots (Noir and Blanc), Riesling, and a few other varieties with integrity and care in some of the most exciting terroirs we have seen: Weiße Jura (aka marne blanche), some small plots of volcanic soils in and around the villages of Linsenhofen and Neuffen (which takes its name from the neighboring castle), and Braune Jura (on the promising and yet depressingly underutilized slopes around nearby Metzingen). They also make insane ciders from apples and black pears, and the purest wild fruit distillates we’ve ever tasted (Helmut’s uncle is a dab hand with a still)—and all from a tiny domaine not much larger than an average postage stamp. The region may locally be known as the Swabian Jura, but tasting in Dolde’s cellars tends to put us more in mind of the Sound of Music. These delicious drinks epitomize “mountain wines.” Pure as an alpine stream, they invigorate, refresh, and keep us coming back for more.

Where do you ship?

We ship to every state except AK, HI, UT, KY, AL, AR.

How long will it take to get my order?

Wines are shipped within 1-3 business days after your order.

Shipping times vary, but are typically 2-5 business days depending on the location in the US. You will get tracking information in your confirmation email after the label is printed. Please note that the delivery date is an estimate, and may change based on factors out of our control.

Note: Due to COVID-19, our retailers and shipping partners are seeing extra pressure on their distribution network. Most orders placed during the business week are planned to ship within 1-3 days of ordering. All weekend orders will begin processing on Monday, and it may take 1-3 business days to ship as well.

What shipping carriers do you use?

We use either UPS or FedEx, depending on the state.

Do I need to be there to sign?

Yes! Federal law requires the signature of someone 21+ for any alcohol delivery. We want to make sure you get your wine, so please make sure someone is there to sign for it when it comes. The delivery service will make three attempts before returning the shipment to our fulfillment center. Note that there will be a restocking fee for returned shipments.

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping is variable based on the number of bottles you purchase. You will see the final shipping price at checkout!
