You know that feeling when you're sitting around a table with your favorite people, the candles are flickering, the food smells amazing, and someone opens a bottle that just feels like it belongs in that moment? Yeah… that’s this Barolo.

Coming from the hills of Serralunga d'Alba—deep in the heart of Piedmont—this wine is the real deal. Ferdinando Principiano keeps things wild and real in the vineyard, letting nature do its thing. No frills. No shortcuts. Just honest, soulful Nebbiolo grown with care and bottled with love.

This 2020 vintage? It's got that perfect balance of strength and softness. Like your favorite hoodie that still smells like campfire and adventure.

This Barolo greets you with smooth power and layered complexity—ripe cherries, sun-dried strawberries, crushed rose petals, earthy forest floor after rain, and a whisper of spice and leather-bound books—all wrapped in grippy yet gentle tannins and bright, clean acidity that lingers.

The Producer

About Ferdinando Principiano

Ferdinando Principiano is the kind of winemaker who doesn’t just farm—he listens. Starting in 1993 with just 7 hectares passed down from his father and grandfather, he’s grown his little corner of Piemonte into a 21-hectare love letter to nature, tradition, and beautifully unfiltered expression. Farming is organic (no certification, no problem), but Ferdinando takes it way further. He’s all about keeping the ecosystem buzzing—literally. He’s bought up nearby forests, dug out a pond below his famed Boscareto cru (shoutout to the migratory birds and frog choir), and keeps things low-tech and high-touch. Think hand-tending with a scythe and low-intervention magic in the cellar.
