About Domaine de L'Harmas

Domaine de L'Harmas is a family affair rooted in Rhône Valley tradition. Nathalie and Patrick Fabre took over the estate in 2000, shifting it from mixed farming to a dedicated winery and creating their first vintage. Today, their 23 hectares include prized plots in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, planted with classic Rhône grapes—Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. Farming organically since 2012 and working with their son Romauld, they honor four generations of family craft, hand-tending vines and producing limited runs of Côtes-du-Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. Each bottle reflects the Fabres' deep-rooted passion and their land’s unique character.

About the Region

Rhône, France

The Rhône Valley, located in southeastern France, is renowned for its natural winemaking practices and exceptional wines. Split into two distinct regions, the Northern and Southern Rhône, the area benefits from a variety of terroirs and microclimates. Natural winemakers in the Rhône Valley prioritize organic and biodynamic farming methods, eschewing chemical additives and pesticides in favor of sustainable viticulture. They cultivate classic grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Viognier with minimal intervention to produce wines that reflect the region's unique terroir and the purity of the fruit. In the Northern Rhône, wines are known for their elegance and complexity, with Syrah offering spicy aromatics and dark fruit flavors. In the Southern Rhône, wines are more robust and fruit-forward, with Grenache providing ripe red fruit flavors and a hint of spice. As the demand for authentic and terroir-driven wines continues to grow, the Rhône Valley remains a cornerstone of the natural wine movement, offering a taste of France's winemaking heritage and commitment to sustainability with every bottle.
