This rosé, with a slight golden hue, is as charming as its name suggests. Refreshing citrus zest and vibrant red fruits come from the direct pressing of Portugieser and Silvaner, with a touch of Pinot Noir added just before bottling. Aged on lees for 9 months in neutral barrels, this wine is a testament to the legacy of fifth-generation winemaker Max and his partner Marika, who continue the winemaking tradition in Saulheim village, founded by Max’s great-grandfather in 1896

Tart strawberry and raspberry, nectarine, lemon zest and orange peel, blossom, and hints of stone that contribute to the wine’s overall freshness.

Max Dexheimer Vineyard

The Producer

About Dexheimer

Max Dexheimer, with a fond smile, gestures towards the barrel sample of his Pinot Noir, reflecting on the unique character of his vineyard's wine. Despite its intense concentration and smoky notes, he assures us it's not oak-induced; rather, it's the essence of the terroir itself. Inherited traditional Stückfass barrels, passed down through generations, play a pivotal role in shaping the wine's distinct personality. Max attributes this signature smokiness to the vineyard's rich, iron-laden soil, a distinguishing feature from his other plots. Nestled beneath his family's home lies his old cellar, where these wines mature, reflecting his unwavering commitment to quality. As a Pinot enthusiast, Max understands the importance of patience, allowing the wine ample time to evolve and soften.
