La Bodega de Pinoso

The Producer

About Bodegas Ponce

La Bodega de Pinoso makes the Fermina wines for us. They started producing wines from organic grapes in 1997, being one of the pioneer wineries in the region to do so. Today, more than 800 hectares of vineyards are certified by the Valencia Region Organic Agricultural Committee, which is 35% of the surface area, producing more than 1,500,000-liters of wine. The Bodega de Pinoso is the most important producer of wines from organic farming in the Valencia Region, and are considered one of the biggest producers on a national scale. To obtain organic wines La Bodega de Pinoso combines an exhaustive control of the vineyards with careful processes in winemaking. Treatments carried out at the vineyard are minimum, making for grapes of excellent quality.

About the Region

Valencia, Spain

Natural wine production in Valencia, Spain, encapsulates the region's vibrant culture, rich history, and diverse terroir. Nestled along the Mediterranean coast, Valencia boasts a sunny climate, fertile plains, and rugged mountain ranges, creating an ideal environment for viticulture. Native grape varieties such as Bobal, Monastrell, and Garnacha thrive in the region's sandy soils and warm, dry climate, producing wines of exceptional depth and character. Natural winemakers in Valencia embrace sustainable farming practices, cultivating their vineyards with care and respect for the land. In the cellar, they employ minimalist techniques, allowing the grapes to ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and minimizing the use of sulfur to preserve the wine's natural flavors and aromas. The resulting wines are a true expression of Valencia's terroir, with vibrant fruit flavors, lively acidity, and a sense of place that reflects the region's coastal breezes and Mediterranean sunshine. Whether enjoyed with local seafood dishes or savored on their own, natural wines from Valencia offer a taste of Spain's winemaking heritage and a glimpse into the future of sustainable viticulture.
