Chinon Blanc “La Croix Boissée” 2020

More and more, Bernard Baudry draws comparisons with such titans of the Loire as the esteemed Clos Rougeard. Baudry’s whites (like those of Rougeard) are his rarest releases, and warrant as much attention as his reds. The 2020 vintage is totally dry, with a beautiful balance of fruit and acidity. Even while working with rigorously biodynamic methods, Baudry's style tends to be very pure and seamless: "classically styled." This is seriously pretty (or pretty serious) Chenin. While undeniably age-worthy, we understand if you can’t wait it out. Give it a little time to breathe and slowly enjoy it with your seriously pretty (or pretty serious) friends.
