A Word From Our Founder

Hi friends,

This month’s Red Club brings together a lively mix of expressive reds, from juicy, easygoing bottles to more classic styles with a little extra depth. We’ve selected wines that showcase different grapes, regions, and approaches, with plenty of character in every bottle.

From the generous Hand Work Tempranillo 1L to the bright and approachable Mano a Mano VDF, this month’s lineup is made for sharing. Maxime Crotet’s Bourgogne Rouge brings a classic Burgundy expression, while Zillamina Red rounds things out with its own distinctive personality.

Whether you’re pouring a glass alongside dinner, bringing a bottle to a gathering, or simply opening one for a relaxed evening at home, we hope this collection gives you plenty of reasons to reach for another pour.

As always, thank you for supporting independent producers and being part of the MYSA community.

Cheers,

Holly

A bright, easygoing red from a small 2-hectare site in Languedoc-Roussillon, planted on granite, schist, and gneiss soils with 40-year-old vines. The blend is led by Grenache with Carignan, farmed organically and harvested by hand. Semi-carbonic maceration brings lift and freshness, followed by six months in stainless steel to preserve clarity and fruit. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfur, it shows a pure, unadorned style.

Based in Beaune, Maxime Crotet is a young Burgundy négociant who spent eight years working with Frédéric Cossard at Domaine de Chassorney. He launched his own project in 2021, sourcing from growers across Burgundy and, initially, Beaujolais, Alsace, Jura, and the Southern Rhône.

Today, his focus is primarily on the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Mâconnais. He works with minimal intervention, using no cultured yeast or enzymes and no SO2 during élevage. His wines emphasize purity, freshness, and terroir expression.

La Bodega de Pinoso makes the Fermina wines for us. They started producing wines from organic grapes in 1997, being one of the pioneer wineries in the region to do so. Today, more than 800 hectares of vineyards are certified by the Valencia Region Organic Agricultural Committee, which is 35% of the surface area, producing more than 1,500,000-liters of wine. The Bodega de Pinoso is the most important producer of wines from organic farming in the Valencia Region, and are considered one of the biggest producers on a national scale. To obtain organic wines La Bodega de Pinoso combines an exhaustive control of the vineyards with careful processes in winemaking. Treatments carried out at the vineyard are minimum, making for grapes of excellent quality.
