Producer Profile

Il Mostro

Poggio Anima is a wine project that works with independent Italian growers and vineyards, focusing on regional grape varieties and expressive, site-driven wines. Il Mostro is an experimental project from the Marchesani family’s Monteodorisio Vineyard in Chieti, Abruzzo, where the family has farmed since the 1960s. The vineyard was converted to organic farming by Sebastiano Jasci in the 1970s and became one of Italy’s early certified organic vineyards. Today, Nicola manages the business while his wife Federica oversees the winemaking.
