A Word From Our Founder

Hey orange lover,

You already know—this club isn’t for the faint of palate. It’s for the curious, the bold, the “wait, what is this wine?” types. And that’s why we love putting these boxes together for you. Your May lineup is a wild ride through skin contact brilliance—from structured and savory to fizzy and fun. We tasted, we geeked out, and we landed on four wines that’ll make your tastebuds do a double take (in the best way).

Here’s what you’re getting:
🧡 Ottokar from Jure Brumec – Slovenian sparkle meets orange intrigue. Bright, textured, and made for sharing.
🌫️ Sivi from Tomac Marany – A skin-contact Pinot Gris that brings stone fruit, herbs, and just the right grip.
🔥 Uncensored from Bikicki – Spicy, rich, and untamed. Like a summer bonfire in a bottle.
✨ Julius’ Bolle Macerato Frizzante from Bulli – Bubbly, aromatic, and oh-so-quirky. It’s your picnic party starter.

These aren’t just wines—they’re conversation starters, dinner enhancers, and reminders that wine can (and should) be fun.

Thanks for being the kind of drinker who says yes to the unexpected.

With fizz and funk,
— Holly

Club Pick 1

Meet Ottokar— this skin-contact stunner is not your average bottle of white. It’s orange. It’s wild. It’s alive. Winemaker Jure Brumec has given us something special here—think of it like your favorite indie band finally dropping their masterpiece album.

Crafted from Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Traminer. No rush, no fluff, just a pure, honest pour that feels like an afternoon well-spent with friends, maybe barefoot, maybe in the backyard, probably laughing a little too loud.

There’s a quiet power in this bottle—one that says, “Hey. Slow down. You’re doing great.”

Wood-fired Margherita Pizza, Grilled Fish with Mango Salsa, Coconut Curry Shrimp

Get ready for a golden pour with a slight haze—it’s unfiltered, baby! On the nose? A warm breeze of apricot skin, tangerine zest, wildflowers, and that scent you can’t name but remember from a hike in late spring. First sip? It’s textured and grippy, like a handshake from someone you trust. Expect flavors of dried mango, honeysuckle, grapefruit pith, and a whisper of spice—maybe cinnamon stick or clove, but super chill.

Meet Jure.

He’s the kind of winemaker who talks more to his vines than his phone. A bit of a quiet rebel. Wild-hearted but rooted. Deeply in love with the land he grew up on—and it shows in every bottle he makes.

From the rolling hills of Štajerska, Slovenia, Jure Brumec is crafting wines that feel like they have a heartbeat. This isn’t factory-made stuff. This is hands-in-the-dirt, sun-on-the-neck, real-deal winemaking. And yet, his wines have a softness to them—like they’re letting you in on a beautiful secret.

Why We Love Him
Because Jure reminds us to slow down. To pay attention. To taste the moment. His wines feel like sitting on a porch after the rain, or finding the perfect song for a Sunday drive. They’re textured, alive, sometimes surprising—and always deeply human.

Club Pick 2

Sivi is a skin-contact Pinot Gris (yep—orange wine!) from Croatia, made by the Tomac family, who’ve been doing this natural wine thing long before it was a hashtag.

This bottle isn’t just wine—it’s a vibe. A hug from someone you didn’t know you missed. It’s rustic, refreshing, and a little rebellious in all the right ways. Zero additives, just pure fermented grape magic with a heartbeat.

Vermont cheddar grilled cheese with caramelized onions, Tacos al pastor with pineapple salsa, Miso-glazed mushrooms or ramen with a soy-marinated egg.

On the first sip: apricot skins, dried orange peel, and that "walking through a farmer’s market in late summer" kind of feeling.
Stick around and you’ll catch earthy herbs, tea-like tannins, and that signature “orange wine funk” that makes you feel like you're in on a delicious secret. It's dry, grippy, and just complex enough to keep you coming back for more. Layered, but chill.

Some winemakers chase trends. Tomac Marany chases moments.

Tucked away in the heart of Catalonia, this tiny, family-run project is all about good energy, soulful wine, and not taking life too seriously. With vines older than most modern tech and a cellar that feels more like a cozy jam session than a factory, Tomac Marany is where tradition meets pure, unfiltered joy.

No additives, no fuss, just honest juice made with wild yeast and a wild heart.

It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being real.
Because when the sun hits the vines just right and the grapes sing, Tomac listens. And what comes next is magic in a glass.

Tomac Marany is really about: feeling it all.

Club Pick 3

Unfiltered, unbothered, and Uncensored. This bold orange beauty from Serbia’s Bikicki winery isn’t here to play it safe—and we love it for that. Sourced from Traminer grapes grown in the rolling hills of Banoštor, this is a wine that lets the grape speak its truth. It’s wild, vibrant, and alive—fermented on skins, with no makeup, no filters, just realness in a bottle.

It’s for people who like their wine with a little edge. It’s for the curious, the grateful, the ones who toast to life’s chaos and clarity all in one breath. It's a story of freedom—told through a glass.

Buttermilk fried chicken & honey drizzle, Burrata with roasted squash & toasted hazelnuts, flatbread with labneh and olives.

Uncensored opens up with a burst of ripe apricot and dried orange peel, mellowed by warm spice and just a hint of honeycomb funk. There’s structure and sass here—tannins.

Earthy? Yup. Aromatic? Oh yeah. Complex? Definitely—but in that “tell me more” kinda way.

In the realm of winemaking, Djordje Bikicki's journey is intertwined with a profound appreciation for natural wines, sparked by his encounter with the renowned Oszkar Maurer. Following a fortuitous placement next to Maurer at a Serbian wine fair in 2013, Djordje found himself immersed in a world of shared ideas and mutual inspiration. Since then, Maurer has served as the consulting winemaker for Bikicki, guiding him in crafting minimal intervention wines fermented exclusively with native yeasts and featuring minimal sulfur additions before bottling. With a focus on expressing the pure essence of Serbian fruit sourced from the natural terroir of Fruška Gora, Bikicki's winemaking philosophy revolves around achieving balance, elegance, and clarity.

Club Pick 4

This lively orange natural wine brings the essence of the land to your glass. Made with minimal intervention, it’s unfiltered and full of raw, vibrant character. Fermented with native yeasts, this wine captures the true spirit of the Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grape, offering a pure, unpolished taste of nature. Its natural effervescence adds a playful sparkle, and the fruit-forward profile is beautifully balanced with a touch of earthiness – a wine that feels alive, fresh, and real. Perfect for those who appreciate authenticity and want to taste the wine in its truest, most natural form.

Spicy Asian dishes, tangy cheeses, citrusy salads.

Zesty citrus, stone fruit, floral hints, and natural bubbles—refreshing, juicy, with a touch of spice.

Bulli is the kind of place that makes you believe in magic again—if magic tasted like limestone sparkle in a bottle and came with homemade salumi on the side. Tucked in the sleepy hills of Colli Piacentini, just south of the Po River in Emilia-Romagna, this is old-school Italian winemaking with a wink and a wild streak. Run by Leonardo Bulli and his legendary mother, La Signora Bulli (the real boss), this is a fifth-generation family operation. No castles, no pretension—just 12 hectares of love, limestone, and fizzy fun. Their wines are made the traditional way: metodo ancestrale with spontaneous fermentation, no added SO2, and a whole lotta heart. These bottles are rustic, salty, mineral-driven, and unmistakably honest—“semplice ma non banale” as they say in Italy: simple but never boring.
