A Word From Our Founder

Hey friend,

Orange wines just do their own thing. They blur the lines, bend the rules, and still manage to show up like the life of the party.

This month’s orange club is all that and more. It’s bright and wild and maybe even a little unexpected. The kind of lineup that wakes up your palate and makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about wine.

Some bottles feel sun-soaked and zippy. Others are textured and savory, perfect for foods you can eat with your hands or share straight off the grill. But all of them bring that vibrant, slightly rebellious energy that only orange wines can.

We picked these to inspire you to play, to explore, to pour something for your curious friends or to keep all to yourself.

With joy,
– Holly

Wild-fermented and lightly skin-contacted, this is the bottle you bring when you want people to ask what you’re drinking.

Out in the sun-soaked fields of Strekov, Slovakia, Matyáš Máťa is quietly making some of the most soulful, no-nonsense wines in central Europe. His vineyards? Dry-farmed, chemical-free, and buzzing with life. His vibe? Think: punk-rock monk meets soil whisperer. Every bottle is pure expression—unfiltered, wild, and full of feeling. These are wines that speak from the land, not over it. We’re endlessly grateful to pour what Matyáš grows—one humble, honest sip at a time.

Raïmones represents the vibrant culmination of three esteemed wine families' legacies in Catalunia, heralding a new era of winemaking with a focus on natural practices and the revitalization of forgotten varietals. Embodying a commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability, Raïmones emerges as a beacon of innovation within the region's wine landscape. At the heart of their mission lies the preservation and promotion of "the Marina," an ancient and enigmatic grape variety whose potential has long been overshadowed by more mainstream cultivars. With a blend of reverence for tradition and a bold vision for the future, Raïmones harnesses the collective expertise and passion of its founders to breathe new life into Catalonia's winemaking heritage.

Helmut Christ is a legend with a gentle hand. Based in Franken, he’s been doing biodynamics before it was cool—like, Demeter-certified since 1974 cool. His wines are thoughtful, grounded, and deeply connected to their place. They don’t shout—they sing. In a world full of noise, Helmut’s bottles feel like a deep breath. We’re beyond grateful for his quiet brilliance.
