A Word From Our Founder

Hi friends,

April in the orange club leans into texture, aromatics, and a sense of quiet depth. This month’s selection highlights the range that skin-contact wines can offer, from lifted and floral to more structured and savory expressions.

The lineup moves through different approaches to maceration and aging. Some wines feel bright and perfumed with citrus peel and gentle spice, while others show more grip, with layered texture, dried fruit, and subtle oxidative notes. There’s a balance between freshness and structure that gives each bottle its own rhythm.

These are wines that invite a bit of time and attention. A bottle opened and revisited, a glass that shifts as it warms, or something shared slowly over a meal. They reward curiosity while still feeling approachable.

Each wine comes from growers working with care and intention, using minimal intervention to let both grape and process speak clearly. The result is wines that feel expressive, tactile, and rooted in place.

Thank you for being part of the club and for continuing to explore these wines with us.

Here’s to a month of textured pours, evolving glasses, and memorable moments.

Cheers,
Holly

Christian Binner, Alsace's revered figure in natural winemaking, recognizes the region's inherent riches. Surveying the sun-kissed vines from his terrace, he declares the land beneath their feet a true gem. Blessed with diverse soils, ample sunshine, and scant rainfall, Alsace emerges as an idyllic haven for natural winemakers. Despite the region's current strides in organic viticulture, Christian stood as a trailblazer. Assuming control of the family winery in 1999, he embraced natural methods from the outset, laying the foundation for Alsace's organic winemaking leadership. (Jenny & Francois)
