Bojo Do Luar
Bojo do Luar - Vinho Verde, Portugal

The Bojo do Luar project was born from Savio's encounter with Fernando Paiva during a trip to the Vinho Verde region. Paiva, a pioneering biodynamic producer, sparked Savio's interest with his innovative techniques, such as incorporating ground chestnut flowers into the grapes and must before fermentation, and ceasing the use of SO2 since 2017. As a regional leader in non-interventionist winemaking, Paiva's influence extended to introducing Savio to Antonio Sousa, another biodynamic viticulturist who embraced traditional winemaking methods.

Schlossmulenhof
Schlossmulenhof - Rheinhessen, Germany

The Schloss Mühlenhof property is a large estate (nearly 20ha) spread across the slopes above Kettenheim, 3km south of Alzey. Now in the hands of Gabriele, Nicolas, and Walter Michel, the farm operates ‘organically’ but not by any legal standard. They follow what they call, ‘ecologically healthy’ farming practices, with the intent on capturing the pure expression of the Rheinhessen style. -Savio Soares Selections

Denavolo Winemaker
Denavolo - Emilia-Romagna, Italy

Giulio Armani, a quiet and introspective scholar, is well-dressed in sharp Italian attire. Behind his reserved demeanor, however, lies a mind brimming with curiosity and exploration. This enthusiasm is reflected in the highly energetic yet contemplative wines he crafts at Denavolo, named after the mountain on which it sits. In the stunning landscape of Emilia-Romagna, Giulio retreats from his work with red wines at La Stoppa to pursue unanswered questions that occupy his thoughts. He challenges the conventional wisdom that red and white wines must be made differently, wondering if this belief stifles the potential of great white wine. Giulio's experimentation includes methods such as oak versus tank aging, parcel selection versus whole vineyard, and long versus short maceration.
