About 2P Production
“2P Production is a joint project between Romain Plageoles, the youngest Plageoles brother, and his wife Fanny Papelard. Romain primarily takes care of the vines, and Fanny works in the cave during harvest with the fermentations, and they make all the winemaking decisions together as a team. All the wines are vinified at the Plageoles winery. The Plageoles family has been so influential on the winemaking in the Gaillac region, dating all the way back to Romain’s grandfather Robert, and Romain and Fanny are doing their best to continue that tradition in their own style.” — Jenny & Francois

About Benito Santos
“Benito Santos is a central figure in the modern history of Albariño and the Rías Baixas D.O. He began working in his grandfather’s vineyards in the 1930s and made wine for serving in his bar – wines that repeatedly won prizes in the annual Fiesta de Albariño in Cambados. He was instrumental in the creation of the Rías Baixas D.O. in the 1980s. The current owners now farm three vineyards in the Val do Salnés subzone of Rías Baixas, each of which is next to and named after an ancient church: Saiar, Bemil, and Xoan. All of the vineyards are now certified organic – a rarity in rainy, mildew-prone Rías Baixas – and winemaking uses only native yeasts and minimal sulfur. Benito Santos wines are salty, mineral, and structured, with ample fruit but none of the overly tropical flavors of many industrially-produced Albariños.” — Bowler Wine

About Konpira Maru
“We’d been frustrated at how expensive interesting wines were, the wines we were wanting to drink, and how we couldn’t just crack a bottle mid-week on our meagre wages. So we set out to make interesting wines with minimal intervention but maximum care - wines you could afford to have with a bowl of spaghetti on a Wednesday night. Thus was born the Konpira Maru mission statement: make mid-week wines great again. Make wines that were full of character, with a focus on affordability and a high drinkability. Wines that aren’t so expensive that you feel the need to talk about them the whole time during your meal, you can just enjoy the company you're with (and have another bottle)!”— Konpira Maru Wine Company
