About the Winemaker

Weingut Idler

Marcel Idler is at the forefront of Swabian winemaking, quietly revolutionizing the scene with his light touch and low extraction methods. His wines are full of life, incredibly precise, gentle yet powerful, much like Marcel himself.

His vineyards consist of 30-35 parcels within a 2 km radius of his winery and home, with twenty-five percent planted to Trollinger. Marcel emphasizes preserving valuable aromas and making them tangible in the wines. A gentle harvest is the foundation, and the wines are carefully developed in wood and stainless steel with minimal technical influence.
