Daisy, with a background in importing and distribution, joined forces with Antoine, a seasoned winemaker, in 2020. Their shared passion for natural wines led them to create a negociant project, sourcing grapes from like-minded winemakers in Germany. Since 2022, they've focused exclusively on German vineyards, ensuring quality control and supporting local growers.
What makes Soma Vines truly special is their unwavering commitment to minimal intervention. They source grapes from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards, allowing the natural character of the fruit to shine through. In the cellar, they take a hands-off approach, relying on native yeast fermentation for a more expressive wine. They also avoid fining, filtration, and the addition of sulfur dioxide (SO2), resulting in wines that are as pure and unadulterated as possible.
