Birdscape 2024
A field blend of over 20 varieties—centered on Blaufränkisch—with vines up to 60 years old. Grown on a mixed vineyard of warm schist and cool limestone, the fruit is co-harvested and fermented using Christian’s unique “Pink Maceration Method,” which sits between rosé and red winemaking. Long maceration, light extraction, and fermentation in large oak barrels with native yeast. No racking, no sulfur, no filtering.
The result is a vivid, energetic wine with the brightness of a rosé and the structure of a light red. Aromatic, layered, and impossible to categorize. Bottled unfined and unsulfured.
