Domaine Lupin

Bruno Lupin is a winemaker with extensive experi-ence. The Lupin estate consists of five hectares of vinesin Frangy on a hillside called Les Aricoques. Bruno considers this location the best in the region due to the full southern exposure and the relatively low altitude that protects the vineyards from the cold northern winds. The soils are molasses, a crumbly
calcareous soil resulting from old mountain erosion. Most of the vines are about 25 years old but there is a single parcel of individually staked vines that are over 60 years old. This site is the source of his old vines wine: “Cuvée du Pépé”. - De Maison

About the Winemaker

Domaine Lupin

Bruno Lupin, drawing on his wealth of experience, has established his own winery in Frangy, showcasing the potential of his hometown's terroir. Situated on the hillside of Les Aricoques, the Lupin estate spans five hectares of vineyards, benefiting from optimal conditions with full southern exposure and protection from northern winds due to its relatively low altitude. The molasses soils, a result of ancient mountain erosion, contribute to the unique character of the wines. With a focus on sustainability, Bruno practices organic viticulture, relying on indigenous yeasts for fermentation and refraining from de-acidification, preserving the natural expression of the grapes. Notably, his "Cuvée du Pépé" originates from a parcel of vines over 60 years old.
