Winemaker, Graham Markel considers ‘Buona Notte' as a family endeavor with his father as his business partner and inspired by her mother's culinary adventure. The winery is a fruit of the Markel Family's life full of travel and exploration.
At a very young age, Graham learned how to cook at her mother's Tuscan culinary school in Italy while his bartending experience in Colorado sparked the idea of making his own beverages.
Graham spent seven years working at Antica Terra Winery in Oregon and worked under the Master Sommelier of Hiyu Wine Farm, Nate Ready. He said the number one thing he learned was, "to think deeply about winemaking and how to add beauty to every step of the process. No matter how arduous or tiring, every action must be taken to make the best wine possible."
