Producer Profile

DoReMi

Do Re Mi was started in 2014 by Mamuka and Giorgi with the goal of producing the best organic wines that use ancient Georgian winemaking methods. Their vineyards in the Kartli, Imereti, and Kakheti region follow the local traditions and apply organic ways of farming with no additives or industrial yeast in the making, and aged and fermented in Qvevri - a traditional clay pot in Georgia.

Where The Wines Come From

Kakheti

Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of eastern Georgia, Kakheti is renowned for its ancient winemaking traditions and stunning natural beauty, making it a captivating destination for natural wine enthusiasts. Blessed with a diverse terroir ranging from fertile valleys to rugged mountain slopes, Kakheti provides an ideal environment for cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, and Kisi. Natural winemakers in Kakheti honor the region's heritage by embracing traditional winemaking methods, including fermenting wines in qvevri—large clay vessels buried underground. This hands-off approach allows the grapes to ferment spontaneously with native yeasts, resulting in wines that authentically reflect the unique characteristics of Kakheti's terroir. Kakheti's natural wines are distinguished by their vibrant acidity, intense fruit flavors, and distinct earthy undertones, offering a sensory journey that transports drinkers to the heart of Georgia's winemaking tradition. Whether enjoying a crisp amber wine or a robust red, Kakheti's natural wines are a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage and unyielding commitment to quality.
