Producer Profile

Analog.

Inspired by the time-honored winemaking practices of Georgia, Andy Buchan embarked on a journey that led him to bury two Qvevri underground, birthing Analog from the depths below. With a profound respect for tradition and a penchant for innovation, Andy crafts striking interpretations of lesser-known varietals, breathing new life into ancient techniques of low-intervention winemaking. At Analog, we inherited a vineyard in January 2021 that had long been cultivated without the use of fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides—a legacy we proudly uphold. Our soil, teeming with vitality, boasts a rich, dark hue thanks to an abundance of humus and organic matter.

Where The Wines Come From

Victoria

In the picturesque landscapes of Victoria, Australia, natural winemaking is a celebration of innovation and tradition. This diverse wine region, located in the southeastern corner of the continent, is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and experimentation. Here, amidst rolling hills, ancient soils, and a cool maritime climate, winemakers embrace organic and biodynamic farming practices, nurturing vines with care and respect for the land. Indigenous grape varieties such as Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Riesling thrive in Victoria's varied terroir, producing grapes of exceptional quality and character. In the cellar, minimal intervention is the guiding principle, with spontaneous fermentations and aging in neutral vessels allowing the true expression of the grapes and terroir to shine through. The resulting natural wines from Victoria are a testament to the region's rich winemaking heritage, with their vibrant flavors, elegant textures, and a sense of place that reflects the diversity and beauty of Australia's landscapes.
