Welcome to the April Orange Club from MYSA Natural Wine!
A note from our founder:
Happy April!
First of all, apologies for the club going out late this month! Our warehouse had part of their client portal go down and it messed with all of our orders. We really appreciate you being a part of our club and being patient with us!
Second, Hooray for fun oranges this month! We have a LOT of big names this month. Everyone's favorite orange from Lammidia, one of the best entry oranges out there from Les Pirouettes and a rare Meinklang that will make you go WHOA! Additionally we have a Georgian orange that's everything I LOVE about orange wine.
Third, while we're talking about feedback, we heard you on wanting shorter videos SO, we have a new format we're starting to implement on some wines and I hope you enjoy! Again, if you have feedback my inbox is always open: holly@mysa.wine

About Lammidia
Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani were childhood friends in Abruzzo, then lost touch. When they found each other again after university, it was with a shared passion for wine, so they decided to try their hands at making it together. Since the beginning of their project, they’ve approached it with a love of both natural winemaking and avid experimentation. They’ve never trained at a formal wine academy, and they don’t rely on agronomists or oenologists. They have learned by trial and error in the vineyards and cellars. In fact, their first fermentation in 2010 was such a disaster that they called in an expert grandma, virtuosa at getting rid of the evil eye, to perform a ritual over their grapes. Apparently it worked, and Lammidia (“evil eye” in Abruzzese dialect) was born. - From Cream Wine

About Meinklang
Meinklang is a lively farm compromising the three typical fields of a Pannonian farmstead in East Austria south of capital town Vienna: wine-growing, fruits and agriculture. Each family-member is specialized in an aspect of farming. Unique is the estate owns Angus & Aubrac cattle herd. It`s the farms source for our own nutritious, organic fertilizer for lively soils in the vineyards and creates the closed circle in the biodynamic Demeter farming. Outstanding issues are the totally unpruned vines, called «graupert» and the extended maturation in concrete egg-shaped containers. As well as the family initiated the first holistic Demeter brewery where we refine the ancient grain beer out of the old varieties called Einkorn and Emmer wheat. - From Zev Rovine

About Les Pirouettes
Les Vins Pirouettes is a project launched by Christian Binner, that brings affordable natural wines to the table, and at the same time helps organic and biodynamic grape growers in Alsace move away from selling their grapes to cooperatives towards making and bottling natural wines. Each cuvée is made at a young grower’s winery, where they supply the grapes and Christian supplies his 20 years of expertise in making natural wine in Alsace, and of course his marketing and distribution savviness. Each cuvée will feature the name of the grower on the bottle. - Jenny & Francois.
