Venturini Baldini

Venturini Baldini, a family-owned and operated winery nestled in the picturesque Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, stands as a testament to centuries of winemaking mastery. Since the 17th century, the winery has been crafting exceptional wines with a profound commitment to organic farming and traditional winemaking techniques. Their vineyards, strategically located in the hills of Emilia-Romagna, benefit from rich soil and a temperate climate, fostering grapes cultivated through sustainable practices such as composting, cover crops, and minimal intervention.

Specializing in a diverse range of wines, including Lambrusco, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Malvasia, Venturini Baldini is a beacon of quality winemaking. Among their stellar offerings, the Montelocco Rose Lambrusco NV has emerged as a crowd-pleaser. This charming wine, a blend of Lambrusco grapes fermented using the Charmat method, exhibits a light salmon pink hue and a delicate bouquet of red berries, flowers, and citrus. The palate is a refreshing symphony of dryness with nuanced flavors of strawberries, raspberries, and cherries.

Situated in the village of Roncolo between Parma and Reggio Emilia, the winery sprawls across 130 hectares, with 30 dedicated to Lambrusco grapes. Producing approximately 1 million bottles annually, Venturini Baldini remains true to its familial roots, owned and operated by the Venturini and Baldini families. This winery, a paragon of sustainability and flavor, beckons wine enthusiasts seeking a delightful and eco-conscious experience from the heart of Emilia-Romagna.

The vines, mainly autochthonous Lambrusco varieties, grow in c. 30ha of vineyards at an altitude of c. 170 to 370m, in clay-rich soils. Since the early 1990’s, Venturini Baldini has been producing only organically certified products. The winery was one of the first in Italy and the first in the region to switch to an entirely organic production, and this commitment is now deeply rooted in our approach to farming and wine making. - Massanois
