Our harvests are handmade, in this way we keep the integrity of each cluster of grapes. After this they are dropped into little concrete vats. What we want from our vineyards is to secure the best expression of our terroir keeping the highest purity and delicacy in winemaking and also in aging, taking care about their singularity in order to obtain

About the Winemaker

Matías Riccitelli

Matias Riccitelli's winemaking journey began in the wine-rich air of Cafayate, Salta, before leading him to Mendoza, where he honed his craft and eventually founded Riccitelli Wines in 2009, merging his father's teachings with his own global harvest experiences. Situated in Las Compuertas, Lujan de Cuyo's elevated terrain, their 20 hectares of old vineyards thrive alongside parcels in Gualtallary, Chacayes, Altamira, and La Carrera. A new venture in 2015 saw the revival of old vineyards in Patagonia's Rio Negro, emphasizing the purity of terroir through manual harvests and concrete vat fermentation. Riccitelli's commitment to expressing Argentina's diverse soils and elevations results in vibrant wines that showcase the country's immense winemaking potential.

The Region

Mendoza, Argentina

In the heart of Argentina's wine country, Mendoza stands as a beacon of natural winemaking amidst the Andean foothills. Here, in one of the world's highest wine-growing regions, winemakers are embracing sustainable practices and minimal intervention techniques to produce wines that truly reflect the essence of the land. With a focus on organic and biodynamic farming, vineyards thrive in the arid climate, cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Malbec, Torrontés, and Bonarda. In the cellar, winemakers champion spontaneous fermentation and aging in neutral vessels like concrete or clay, allowing the pure expression of the grapes and terroir to shine through. The resulting natural wines from Mendoza are bold and expressive, with intense fruit flavors, balanced acidity, and a distinctive sense of place that captures the rugged beauty of the Andean landscape.
