Fossil & Fawn

Fossil & Fawn started out as an idea in the summer of 2011, and quickly transformed into a much more complex and unbelievably rewarding venture. They aren't very interested in bold manifestos or style declarations—their goal is to make wines that they like. They’ve found that the kind of wines they like, and thus the wines they make, are executed with a natural approach that allows the vineyard to do the talking.

About the Winemaker

Fossil & Fawn

Fossil & Fawn's inception in 2011 as a modest idea burgeoned into a challenging yet immensely gratifying journey. Starting with a vision to showcase their family vineyard's uniqueness, they transitioned into a full-fledged wine label after navigating through obstacles. Eschewing grandeur, their focus lies in crafting wines they personally enjoy, embracing a natural approach that allows the vineyard's essence to shine. Cultivating indigenous yeast and employing minimal sulfur additions, their hands-on, artisanal methods yield wines with impeccable acidity, structure, and balance. This commitment to simplicity results in wines that are not only delightful for immediate consumption but also reward patience with cellar aging.
