Domaine Hoppenot

I have been exploring Beaujolais for many years and my past as a merchant has made me realize the fundamental importance of great terroirs for making great wines. Today as a winegrower, I have the immense chance to work from exceptional origins. I would like to thank the winegrowers who came before me on these vines for having pampered them for decades, they return it to me today. My job is to retransmit the purest expression of each origin, unvarnished, respecting the qualities and limits of each vintage. This work is hard, rigorous, complex, but the pleasure of working in a magnificent setting is immense.- Domaine Hoppenot

About the Winemaker

Domaine Hoppenot

Having explored Beaujolais for many years and with a background as a merchant, I've come to understand the vital importance of exceptional terroirs in crafting outstanding wines.

Real estate professionals often say that location is everything when it comes to determining the value of a property. The same holds true for wine; origin is paramount.

Today, as a winegrower, I am fortunate to work with exceptional vineyard sites. I owe a debt of gratitude to the winegrowers who tended these vines for decades before me, as they have gifted me with their legacy.

My task is to convey the purest expression of each terroir, without embellishment, while respecting the unique qualities and challenges of each vintage.
