About the Winemaker

Domaine de l'Envol

Catherine and Raphael, introduced through mutual connections at Melusine Wines, embarked on a remarkable journey that led to the creation of Domaine de l’Envol. Their story unfolds with Catherine's past reign as Alsace wine queen, a serendipitous encounter that intertwined their destinies. Raphael's desire for creative autonomy in winemaking spurred their collaboration, catalyzing the birth of Envol, symbolizing their leap into independent viticulture. Partnering with Catherine's family, they embarked on their inaugural venture, leaving behind established careers to craft wines embodying freedom and expression.
