About Villa Job

Lavinia and Alessandro embarked on a journey through the Loire Valley and Italy, seeking to define their own winemaking style. Their quest led them to embrace wines that are mineral-driven and capable of long aging, crafted in the most natural way possible, with indigenous yeasts and spontaneous fermentation. Each wine they produce reflects the stories and personal connections they encountered during their travels, embodying their thoughts, passions, and ideas. The Villa Job vineyards, spanning 6.5 hectares in Friuli Pozzuolo, sit 90 meters above sea level, with diverse soils ranging from sandy to clay, sandstone, and marl. Embracing nature's bounty, they use only substances that can be naturally derived or processed simply.

About the Region

Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy

Friuli Venezia Giulia, located in the northeastern corner of Italy, is renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich winemaking tradition. In recent years, the region has also become a hub for natural winemaking. With its diverse terroir, including mountains, hills, and coastal plains, Friuli offers an ideal environment for sustainable viticulture. Natural winemakers here prioritize organic and biodynamic farming methods, cultivating indigenous grape varieties such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Malvasia Istriana with minimal intervention. By eschewing chemical additives and relying on natural fermentation, they produce wines that express the unique character of the land. Friuli's natural wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and vibrant acidity, with whites offering crisp citrus and mineral notes, and reds showcasing bright fruit flavors and silky textures. As the demand for authentic and terroir-driven wines continues to grow, Friuli Venezia Giulia remains a leader in the natural wine movement, offering a taste of Italy's rich cultural heritage and winemaking traditions with each bottle.
