About Kraemer

Stephan Kraemer and his wife Simone Wege are farmers to the bone. Together they work 75 hectares of organic crops, 3 hectares of which are grapevines. Their encyclopedic knowledge of soil rejuvenation and crop rotation translates to a primal understanding of their grapevines. To Stephan and Simone, terroir is not a romantic term — it's the scientific process by which micorrhizals in their soil nurture the grapes which grow there. They discovered its romantic side in 2013, when the "alcoholic beverages" they'd been producing “became wine” which reflected their razor-sharp view of terroir.
