About Domaine Grosbois

The Grosbois family vineyard is situated at "The Pressoir" in Panzoult within the Chinon appellation in the Loire Valley. Covering 2,300 hectares, the Chinon appellation is renowned for its wines boasting aromas of red fruits and violets. Domaine Grosbois, located on the south-facing hillside of Chinon, comprises 9 hectares of vines spread across 13 different plots to adapt the cultivation to the soil. This diverse plot configuration allows for a range of expressions in their wines. Nicolas, returning to the vineyard in 2008 to take over from his parents, brought with him new perspectives and techniques acquired from various wine regions including Southern France, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Chile.

About the Region

Loire Valley, France

The Loire Valley, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and historic chateaux, is also a prominent region for natural wine production. Nestled along the meandering Loire River, this diverse wine region boasts a rich viticultural heritage dating back centuries. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in natural winemaking, with many producers embracing sustainable and organic practices. In the Loire Valley, natural winemakers often focus on expressing the unique terroir of their vineyards, allowing the grapes to shine with minimal intervention.
