Happy Spooky Month! There's never been a more appropriate time to drink orange wines and we've been waiting literally 8 months for Stay Brave to arrive, so perfect timing! We're ending rose season (not that we think you can't have it all the time!) with 2 liter bottles that are perfect for your Halloween party. Finally you have some food friendly reds that are a great medium bodied transition into fall!

Tinto - Zillamina

A very brilliant ruby red-purple Spanish wine that is well structured, balanced, full-bodied and medium in tannin. 

Pairings: Braised Ox-tail, Beef Baba Ghanoush, Lamb Stuffed Eggplant

About Zillamina

Bodegas Pinoso Winemaker

Very little rainfall and plenty of sunlight (2,500 – 3,000 hours of sun per year, similar to Florida or California) are challenging yet perfect conditions for getting wines with an intense color and high aromatic potential, especially from the Monastrell variety that Zillamina red and rosé are made of.

This easy-to-drink medium-bodied wine has notes of berries, soft tannin, and fresh acidity. Crisp with longing finish!

About Villalobos

Villalobos Winemaker

In addition to the wild wines, they source organic fruit from two farmers. All the negoce wines are 100% stainless, native yeast, unrefined, unfiltered expressions of Pacific terroirs. These are much lighter, fresher examples of Chilean viticulture than we are used to tasting, but ones that still express a clear sense of place. That’s a nice balance.  - Selection de la Vina

Cotes de Duras - France



A clean and straightforward expression of Merlot with dark fruit flavors of cherries, freshly pressed pomegranate, olives, and earthy undertones. Easy tannins and a super-soft finish.

Pairings: Baked Ziti with Roasted Vegetables, Quesadillas, Seared Salmon

About Haut Lavigne

Haut Lavigne Winemaker

Nadia Lusseau created Château Haut Lavigne in 2002 when she took over 8.5-hectares of vineyards in the Cotes de Duras. The vineyard is made up of 4-hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, plus 4.5-hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cotes de Duras is located approximately 100 kilometers from the Atlantic and benefits from the ocean air while enjoying less rain, therefore more sunshine, than appellations further to the west. Nadia’s viticultural approach results in top-quality fruit and her winemaking allows for a true expression of terroir. She has been farming organically since 2005 all of her vines were certified organic in 2006. Nadia Lusseau represents a younger generation of women winemakers working in France whose informed approach and deft touch are yielding outstanding results.

Fruit forward, funky juicy tart cherries with a squeeze of lime and earthy minerality. Perfect summer wine!

Controvento Winemaker

“This wine is produced thanks to the land rich in stones and its exposure, to the sun, to the sea breeze, and to the meticulous work of man.” — Vincezo Di Meo. A 5-hectare vineyard in the Rocca San Giovanni region of Abruzzo. Enzo, the winemaker, has a philosophy that is strict and allows the grape to flourish in every single bottle made. Fun Fact: Controvento means "upwind" in Italian!


Stay Brave - Testalonga

Swartland - South Africa



A lighter orange with from chenin with notes of green apple, tropical citrus, white flowers, ginger and mineral accents on the note. It tastes fresh and expressive and is perfect with lighter foods or white pasta.

Pairings: Grilled Fish, White Pasta, Octopus

About Testalonga

Testalonga Winemaker

TESTALONGA is owned by Craig & Carla Hawkins. In 2015 they purchased a farm on the slate soils of the northern mountains of the Swartland called Bandits Kloof. The first vineyards were planted in 2018 on Bandits Kloof, the focus of the farm being Mediterranean grape varieties. They strive to make wine from grapes and nothing else.


Rose - Frug

Burgenland - Austria



A tasty, yummy, certified organic, succulent rosé made from 100% Zweigelt from Austria. Spent 10 weeks on its lees and was bottled without filtration or fining.

Pairings: Green Salad, Grilled Vegetables, Seafoods

About Frug

Frug Winemaker

The name Frug comes from a 1960s dance, which is very shake-your-hips and vibrant like the wine itself, fitting also with the colorful label designed by our Jenny Lefcourt’s brother in cooperation and her husband. It was coined by Toni Silver, an artist and Austrian wine promoter who also connected us with the winery: “My brain always bounces around from the present back to the mid-20th century, as I am a retro kind of gal, so I just started thinking of party-drinking-dancing and started to remember some of the crazy 60’s dances – the Twist, Mashed Potato, the Frug!” Well, there you go: we bet this Austrian liter trio will make you dance as well. - Jenny & Francois
