Producer Profile

Le Fraghe

Matilde Poggi stands as the driving force behind Le Fraghe, a winery synonymous with excellence in Bardolino. Nestled in Cavaion Veronese within the Affi township, Le Fraghe enjoys a prime location at the heart of Bardolino's winemaking hub in Northern Italy. Bordered by Lake Garda to the west and Monte Baldo to the north, the estate, including its 15th-century stone farmhouse, has been a cherished family possession since 1880, with Matilde's inaugural harvest taking place in 1984. Boasting 28 hectares of vineyards predominantly adorned with the Corvina grape, Matilde was honored with the presidency of the Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti (Italian Federation of Independent Grape Growers) in 2013.
