Julien Merle, a true Beaujolais enthusiast, assumed control of his parents' estate around 8 years ago. Traditionally, like many Beaujolais winemakers, his parents sold their grapes, sometimes even bulk wine, to larger negociant producers. However, upon taking over the winery, Julien forged friendships with Jean Foillard and Guy Breton, who inspired him to start bottling his own wine. Over the years, he has adopted practices such as horse plowing, natural yeasts, and now crafts wines completely free from additives. His wines are simple, straightforward, and perfect for easy enjoyment. - Zev Rovine
